Common questions
The app can't find my OBD-II adapter
- Make sure the adapter is firmly seated in the port (usually under the dash) and the ignition is on.
- Turn the engine on — some adapters only power up with the engine running.
- Check that Bluetooth is enabled and that you granted DriveTelemetry the Bluetooth permission
(iOS Settings → DriveTelemetry).
- DriveTelemetry works with standard ELM327 / vLinker-class Bluetooth LE adapters.
Trips aren't logging automatically
- Automatic background logging requires the Location: Always permission and is a
Pro feature.
- You can review permissions in iOS Settings → DriveTelemetry → Location.
- If a BLE connection drops mid-drive, the app continues the trip from GPS only — that's expected.
Subscriptions, restoring purchases & refunds
- Pro and gauge skins are purchased through the App Store. Use Restore Purchases in the app
to re-apply them on a new device.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at
reportaproblem.apple.com.
